Pro-Femmes/Twese Hamwe meets stakeholders & CSOs to discuss Gender and Women Empowerment
On Wednesday, 15 December 2021, Pro-Femmes/Twese Hamwe convened learning and sharing breakfast event with different key stakeholders & CSOs working on Gender Equality and Women’s empowerment.
During this event, different approaches and models that help to improve Gender equality and women empowerment in Rwanda were shared.
In her remarks, the Executive Director of Pro-Femmes / Twese Hamwe, Emma Marie Bugingo explained that first and foremost, collaboration with various organizations is needed to end gender-based violence and to promote women’s and family development.
“As Civil Society Organizations, we should go beyond planned interventions and support program participants to holistically address issues they face to ensure ownership and sustainability.” She said,
Mrs. Emma Marie Bugingo emphasized that CSOs have the responsibility to change citizen’s mindsets which is still a big challenge.
“Collaboration, coordination and partnership should be also strengthened to make more impact and sustainability.” She added.
